Dj vu

Thanks for trying out my map. Dj vu is a solo map with a unique set of terminals written by me. I hope you enjoy the Map.

Chronology
This story takes place after you've finished Marathon. Although you've killed a lot of the Pfhor, a very small fraction still remain (like those you left in the lava maze <G>).

Terminals
This map has terminals specifically designed for it. You must install them to make any sense of the game. Otherwise it will (a) crash or, (b) Make no sense and seem stupid. Alas, installing terminals is not as simple as dragging the file in with Marathon. However, I hope you will find it worth it.

Installing the Terminals
First, you will need ResEdit or another resource editor. ResEdit is available from a lot of places, so it shouldn't be a problem. But most of you probably have it already.

After you have located ResEdit, make a copy of Marathon or if you don't have a lot of disk space, create a new file with ResEdit. With that file open, also open Marathon. select the resource called 'term' and copy it. Then paste it into the newly created file. (The 'term' resourse contains the terminals.)

Next, copy the 'term' resource contained in the included file called terminals into Marathon.
Do not read the terminals!

Installing the map
Installing the map file is considerably easier. Simply rename the exisiting map file to something else and rename the included file to 'Map'. (If you have a special file manager for Marathon, follow its instructions.)

Now you are ready to try the map. Enjoy.

Un-installing
To remove the terminals, copy the saved terminals back into Marathon completely replacing all of mine. If you've made a copy of Marathon, simply launch the unaltered copy and you should have the original terminals back.

Rename your original map file 'Map'.
You should be able to play the official Bungie Marathon now. If there are any problems, reinstall Marathon.

Thanks to Bungie for making Marathon, by far the best game I've played.
Thanks to Steve Israelson for Pfhorte
Also to the people on #marathon for help here and there.
And to Gene Roddenberry for Star Trek.
